Mammoth Cave National Park

International Mapping worked with the National Park Service and Argentine Productions to create an animation showing the extent of the Mammoth Cave system and the most popular cave tour route. Using three-dimensional datasets derived from extensive mapping efforts of volunteers from the Park Service and the Cave Research Foundation, our video shows the over 400 miles of intricate layered passages of Mammoth cave and then highlights the historic “Lantern” tour that thousands of visitors take each year. Images of the cave passage were capture by laser scanning sensors and then stitched together to form a detailed portrait of this small section of the cave.
